Auditioning and the Sun

Well I went to the audition on Sunday. My nervous level was about 0% so it's good that I finally got that out of the way.

After a few lines, the director had me do it another way which I have to admit was much better. I haven't heard from them for about 4 days, so I don't think I got the part. I don't feel sad though. I really did a good read.

It's been so sunny in NYC after a long winter. I'm really feeling good about myself.

I feel I'm one with the comos and independent from other forces.

That's good.

Well I got an audition for the part of Robert in an off-off-off Broadway production of "Proof".

So I need to apply myself. I need to take acting seriously. I was sent two pages of dialogue, so I've decided to memorize all my lines. I think this is step one.

If you don;t know your lines, you really can't begin to act the role.

New Day

It's great being retired.

No more rat race. Spend my days deciding what to wear/eat. Buying stamps at the Post Office becomes an adventure!

But I am finally living fully in this amazing city - New York. I think there is a whole army of us retired people living/moving around in this city.

* * * *

I've started a career in acting - an have actually gotten jobs! Who knew?

But more of that later. The snow has fallen. It's hard to get around.

The gods are telling us busy people to slow down.
